[post_content] => Children have always disappeared - tumbling down rabbit holes and into old wells, and emerging in magical lands. But these lands have little need for used-up miracle children. Nancy tumbled once, but now she’s back in the "real" world. She's send to Miss West’s school where the other children understand her longing and each of them is seeking a way back to their own fantasy world. But things are changing at the school. There’s a darkness just around each corner, and when tragedy strikes, it’s up to Nancy and her new-found schoolmates to straighten things out.
I Cannot decide on my rating for this one! This book is definitely a quick read that I was looking forward to for months and somehow I still managed to forget I had started it for a few days. I just picked it up again after almost a week to read the last 30 or so pages.. I know.. It just didn't do all that much for me. I loved the creativity put in the worlds, it felt new and original and I love finding new and creative fantasy concepts. I also liked the subtle magical atmosphere at Miss West's school, but many elements just seemed very random. From characters who suddenly popped up and had no identity besides which world they had visited to a really weak reason for committing a crime. I had high expectations for this one, and it was a fine little read but unfortunately also a semi-disappointing one.
